905 Ghost In The Shell
This event happened about 80 years ago...
Maruta was a young man lived in Taoyundao. He met Youshiko, a young pretty girl. He fell in love with Yoshiko soon. Maruta dated yoshiko many times, and he decided to make an offer of marriage.
One night in Maruta's house, he confessed it to Youshiko. Yoshiko as moved deeply. However, before Youshiko nodded her head, it turned to that couldn't be nodded. Youshiko was stuck, and her hands started to take off her head slowly. Then a small figure appealed above Youshiko's neck.
"Good night, Maruta," the small figure talked to astonished Mruta, "my name is Patchouli, thank you for your love for my shell Yoshiko. If you are confused, you can regard me as the driver of her. I know that Youshiko will accept your offer if I don't stop her, but I have to make assure you will love her full-heartedly. Can we talk for a while? "
They got into conversation with each other......
Patchouli told Maruta that she was the ghost of knowledge. She used to read alone all the time, but she found that if she didn't experience human emotions and affections as a human female, she would never understand the humanity described on books. Patchouli unleashed her existence for making herself to be reincarnated as a human girl, Yoshiko. Though Patchouli called Yoshiko as her shell, when Yoshiko was awaken, Pachouli would go asleep. Her identity would be "frozen", and she would regard herself as Yoshiko truly. Youshiko didn't know anything about Pachouli, she lived her days as common girls.
Though the core of Yoshiko was Patchouli, she was still a complete girl, not just a doll manipulated by Patchouli. She had her own brain, her own body, her own identity, and her own heart. That was why Patchouli had to stop being Patchouli while she became Yoshiko. Patchouli could embody herself and manipulate Yoshiko's body, but that was not the same thing. In such situation, Yoshiko's body parts still operated, but her ego would be invalidated.
While Patchouli was talking to Maruta, Yoshiko's head still looked at Maruta with her opened eyes emotionally. Her ego was deactivated, but her heart was still there. Patchouli understood that it would be her heart when she returned to be Yoshiko again. The heart would receive Maruta's love for her, then she could get the feeling of how humanity should be...

回覆刪除A cool idea for this would that Yoshiko is actually the ancestor of one of our Taoyundao girls, maybe explaining certain mysterious powers they have. Perhaps Ria was descended Yoshiko, explaining her mysterious "Body Dismissing Powers"?

刪除I will set her as the daughter of a manager who serves in a multinational enterprise ( Google?), and she studies in the American school on Taoyundao.
I think Ranko is the best candidate, Tamura is suitable, too ;)
BTW, from the original anime, I think Ria is a Latino, or a half-black. Which one will you consider as the better one?
Your origin for Ria seems interesting. An internet company seems like a good background for her father and would explain why he and her mother are not home much. How about YuSearch(Combination Google and Yahoo) as the name for the company?
回覆刪除Ranko is already the descendant of Ranma and InuYasha(I am thinking), her magical ancestry might give her the special powers she needed to alter her curse.
Tamura actually might make more sense. Think of scene. Tamura makes her comeback to fight Black Cat, possessed by Alexander The Greatest. Instead of Mei Xian stepping in to help, like I originally thought of, Patchouli is the power that steps in.
Patchouli has been using Tamura's life to make a study into the motivations of Good and Evil, allowing her to find the inspiration if she so chooses to do either one. When Jack discovers that Patchouli has been living in Tamako and studying Black Cat, he convinces her to step in and save Tamura from Alexander's control. Let me know if you have anything to add, we could also have it where Patchouli commands Jack never to tell anyone else what he discovered, and she still secretly lives in Tamako.
Well if Ria is half Latino, that might make sense why Ron Rockford/Green Knight allows her to get away with so much, as he is half Latino and an American himself and he might see her as a daughter figure. She could be half black and half latino, Ria is more likely to be African American name. Where the Latino version I think would be Reyna(Queen). Does she have a last name? How about Ria Reyna?
Better idea, what if she is Ria Rockford? The Green Knight's Niece. Then she got her body switching desires honestly from her family XD
刪除Ria Rockford sounds like she will run faster than Ria Reyna, so it's better XD Reyna is a bit too cute and girlish.
刪除I hope Ria one day will find the truth of who made her lose her ability, then she will make a determined effort to do as well as she can. And one day, she will come back to be that Panther again. Half black and half Latino sounds good.
Patchouli lives in Tamura (not only body, she lives in other's self) and hadn't been discovered? Then she must be very mighty. If Tamura was Patchouli's shell, that will have the potential to be a very exciting story. But letting Patchouli just be an observer is okay, too. She may think that she won't get herself involved too much again(she ever married a man and lived with him for dozens of years).

刪除Also Patchouli might be grateful that Black Cat spared her shell, so that also might motivate her to aid her against Alexander :P
刪除But if Patchouli reincarnated herself as Tamura, it means she killed many people on her own. That may cause a big gap between her and the "good side".
刪除Or let Tamura be an out-of-control experiment for Patchouli. When she reincarnated herself, she also decided to disable her identity during the whole period of being Tamura. She didn't predict that she would lost herself on pursuing power as Tamura since she was already very mighty, and her mood was always cool and calm. However, she shouldn't regard Tamura as her original self...
The experience would teach Patchouli a lot XD
Yes, that's what I had in mind for Patchouli. Tamura was Patchouli's out of control experiment, which she thought originally to make Tamura someone who was fascinated with knowledge and thought just to study her pursuit of knowledge. To her suprise, Tamura did anything to obtain knowledge and power and was evil. Patchouli, being intellectual, might learn alot about good and evil from that experiment.
刪除Sounds interesting. Sometimes Patchouli shall put down her books and learn new things from experience. Knowledge is not the only thing she has to learn ;)
