We had talked about Black Cat's father before. Let me say more about him first. His name is Butch van Geel, a Dutch-French. Black Cat was originally named as Agatha van Geel, but she hated this name (because of her utterly detestable father) and had forsaken it since she was a little girl. By the way, Black Cat's real name is Huang Ru-Jun, but she still doesn't like the surname Huang (黃) from her maternal grandmother because she has no good feeling towards the ancient Huang family. Normally Black Cat avoids this surname as much as possible, but if she knows that her father's surname van Geel has the same meanings with Huang, she will go mad-- "
Huang" means yellow in Chinese, and "
Geel" also means yellow in Dutch. 3/4 of her belongs to
YELLOW, and she claims that she's BLACK? Maybe she shall call herself as Yellow Cat instead of Black Cat, hahaha ;)
Well, this story belongs to Black Cat's half-sister, Catherine van Geel, not Black Cat. When Butch got married with Mei-Xian, he was also dating White Rabbit's mother, an European lady. Those two mothers got pregnant in the same day, and Black Cat has the same birthday with Catherine's. The scum "Yellow Butcher" (Butch van Geel) finally abandoned the two ladies. He joined the Order of Saint Benedict and became a monk to atone for his sin.
When Catherine was growing up, she learned magic knowledge and skills from Butch's books and diaries. Later, she met a witch. The witch became Catherine's mentor, she taught Catherine a lot of witchcraft.
Because Catherine lives in the Chinese zone of Taoyundao, she takes a Chinese name as Huang Kai-Lin(黃 凱琳). She acts as the most perfect good student in school. Excellent, well-behaved, kind and graceful, no one can figure out even one shortcoming of her.
However, despite Catherine isn't willing to admit, she knows that the perfect good student isn't the whole picture of herself. She can feel that herself always calls for another self form her internal. Sometimes she even can see another version of her walks by her, though "that self" looks like headless and malfunctioned because Catherine doesn't identify that as her self.
In fact, Catherine also wants to liberate herself from the perfect image. For example, she wants to dress up not only in the conservative style. Shorter skirts, casual shoes, T-shirts, why can she just dress herself like a student? She wants to change, but she can't. There's one thing that she is afraid of, the vulgar Catherine.
Catherine's mother was once an elegant noble lady, but when Butch abandoned her, she changed. She gave up anything about herself and became a vulgar woman, and she affected Catherine a lot since her childhood. Catherine's nature tends to be vulgar, but she doesn't like this nature. The nature has been formed another version of Catherine and hidden inside Catherine's internal, that's the vulgar Catherine. The messed-up hairstyle, the provoking face, the sluggish gesture, the slovenly wearing, and the shoddy sandals, everything about that vulgar Catherine stings Catherine. When she thinks about new possibility of herself, the image of the vulgar Catherine will jump out and stimulate her heart to deform.
So, Catherine must try her best to keep herself as the perfect good student. She must be good at study, polite, working hard, gentle conservative and totally different with her vulgar true self. Since he can't change her "good student" self anymore, how can she satisfy the call from her internal?
